Frost is a lakeside apartment on the quiet west shore of Windermere, a few steps from the ferry landing in Claife, and it makes an easy, relaxed base for a Lake District break with a dog. The headline is the balcony: it looks straight over a corner of the lake, and guests travelling with dogs say their dogs settled out there happily to watch the ducks and geese, with no worries about safety.
Dogs are accepted, though the booking listing does not set out a pet fee or a limit on numbers. Guests have stayed with a pair of dogs as well as with a single small one, but it is worth agreeing numbers and any charge with the owner before you book.
