How this review was built Evidence, sources, refresh cadence
- Evidence: 24 pet-mention guest reviews sourced from major booking platforms - guests who explicitly mentioned travelling with a dog. Each review is screened for pet-relevance, then judged for sentiment to compute the paw rating.
- Not a personal visit. We don't stay at every hotel we cover - we summarise patterns from real guest reviews, paraphrased and never quoted verbatim. Full standard on our editorial policy page.
- Wider context: The property has 75 guest reviews overall across booking platforms, averaging 9.6/10 - the paw rating reflects only the pet-mentioning subset.
- Last refreshed: October 2026. Policies and pricing drift; we re-check on a rolling basis. Confirm specifics with the property at the moment you book.
- How the paw rating works: Full detail on the methodology page, including the three verification gates and known limitations.
Pet-friendly summary
Number 3 is a bright, spotless seaside bungalow that guests with dogs return to again and again. The main reason is the garden: lawned, fully enclosed and gated, with a side entrance so a muddy dog can come straight in from a walk, and patio doors from the main bedroom straight out onto it. Families with two dogs describe it as completely escape-proof. It earns a 4.8/5 paw rating.
Inside, it is all on one level, which makes life easier for older dogs and for guests with limited mobility, and the kitchen, beds and sofas get consistent praise. The host is quick to respond and helpful.
The location is a big plus for dog walkers. There is a small park at the end of the cul-de-sac, and Angel Bay, a quiet cove under the Little Orme where seals are often seen, is about five minutes away on foot. The nearest beach is stony rather than sandy, so for a proper run head to Rhos-on-Sea, where part of the sandy beach allows dogs; it is a five-minute drive or a twenty to thirty-minute walk along the coast. Llandudno is under ten minutes by car, and Conwy, the Conwy Valley and Anglesey are all within reach.
A few small points. There is no outside light over the back garden, so checking on a dog after dark means taking a torch. Hot water for the bath and shower has been intermittent at times, and the bath-and-shower combination is a little dated. The bungalow is in a residential estate, so it is quiet but not secluded.
For a comfortable, practical base on the North Wales coast, with a secure garden and good walks a few minutes from the door, Number 3 is a very safe bet for dog owners.
