Pet-friendly summary
Flip Flops is a bright, spotless seaside bungalow in Rhosneigr, and for dog owners its biggest asset is the beach, which is about three minutes' walk from the front door. It holds a 4.4/5 paw rating, takes up to two pets, and many of the families who bring dogs here book again for the following year.
The house is set up well for sandy dogs. There is a secure, enclosed back garden with decking and sea views, a side entrance and porch for drying off before coming inside, a hose for rinsing paws, and a wet room for after the beach. Owners Chris and Gail leave a welcome pack with treats for the dog, and they have been quick to help, once offering a carpet runner for a dog that disliked the kitchen floor.
Walks start at the door, with long stretches of sand in either direction, and the village shops, cafes and takeaways are a short stroll away. Off season some shops close, but there are still pubs and restaurants open. Jets from the nearby airbase are a regular sight overhead.
The garden is paved and decked rather than grassed, which a few dogs are reluctant to use, so bring a plan for toilet trips if yours is fussy. Wardrobe space is limited and the main bathroom has no shower, which can be a squeeze for a full house.
For a beach holiday with one or two dogs, especially with family in tow, Flip Flops is a comfortable and well-run choice.
