Blundell's Cottage is a roomy self-catering cottage on the edge of Broadway, the honey-stone Cotswold village on the Worcestershire side of the escarpment. It is a whole-house let with its own garden, which is the part that matters most for a dog: somewhere enclosed to potter first thing and last thing, without a walk to find grass.

And opinions differ on the walk into the village centre - it is closer than many Broadway lets, but far enough that some guests would rather drive, which matters if you were counting on strolling in for dinner with the dog.

The other thing worth knowing is that the cottage has not always been spotless between guests: dog hair left behind by previous visitors has come up, along with dust and cobwebs. For most dog owners that is a shrug, but if anyone in your party reacts to it, raise it with the owners before you arrive rather than after.
