This two-bedroom cottage sits at Outgate, a scattered hamlet in the fields between Hawkshead and the western shore of Windermere, and its biggest draw for dog owners is the walk out of the front door. Hawkshead village is about fifteen minutes away on foot across open fields, which means the day can start with a proper leg-stretch rather than a drive. It is a quiet, genuinely rural spot, and dogs who like space and hedgerows will get plenty of both.

Dogs are welcome, with one pet per booking, and the cottage is set up for self-catering with everything a family needs for a week in the Lakes. Guests travelling with dogs have found the layout copes well with more than one small dog, and there is an enclosed outdoor space behind the property.
